We all know the amazing, top of the rock charts
icon that is Melanie Roe to be a party girl all over the new boy in town.
However, her new album reveals a new side to Melanie that has never been seen
before!
Melanie’s
new album “Runnin’ Outta Time” has an underlining meaning of what she wants her
upcoming future to be like. Melanie has never been the type of girl to settle
down with a guy for a long period of time, like her music she is uncommitted to
the role. Although her past has been bad, Melanie has said in an interview, she
is willing to settle down and start an adult life with her new boyfriend, James
Wright.
Her
featured song in the new album is called, “Letting go”. In which she tries to
send out the message that she is “letting go of her past” and hoping that the
rest of the world will move in with her. The new album is said to be released
on 29th November, just in time for the Christmas sales to boom.
Previous albums of Melanie’s, haven’t sold at a high rate, but she feels that
because it is “the new me”, people will be able to relate to the album more and
would have more incentive to buy it because of this.
Ever
since Melanie started secondary school in the town of Slough, she always had a
popular streak to her personality resulting in many friends, particularly male
orientated. It is evident from recent media that Melanie has a gift with “the
men” but has trouble with maintain a relationship. For example her last
relationship with Matthew Reed failed miserably after the course of two months when
Melanie regretfully cheated on him with her current partner, James.
Melanie
said in her interview, “I think the reason for my mischievous past, is a result
of my parents’ dramatic and painful divorce when I was 10. Ever since the
divorce, I felt that I, instead of latching onto a person, I latched onto the
idea of a relationship which is why they never lasted”. This dramatic result
from the interview, reveals a lot about Melanie’s past and makes us understand
why she did what she did and her past, many years ago. Melanie, feels she has
portrayed these emotions and her story through her new album, and hopes that
her audience and fans understand.
Melanie
now sees that her ways in the past were wrong, and feels like it’s time for her
younger, mischievous self to be locked away, and for her life to start anew
with James. Her new life will include everything that we would consider the
norm, when settling down. For example, marriage, children and a family home.
This has never been a life dream of Melanie’s but she feels that this is the
only way to step away from her past.
Melanie
says that this is definitely not her last album to be released, and only a
light upon an old career. She hopes to incorporate her new life into future
albums, and hopefully, this will relate to her fans and audiences’ lives.
Melanie
is very excited about this new start with James and hopes that her fans accept
the new her, and don’t reject new life choice. For the full interview head to
