EVALUATION How did you attract/address your audience?

Cover

• Colours suit the genre of rock.
• Masthead title is messy and has style and effects, making it suit the genre of rock.
• The main image suits the genre of rock and would appeal to anybody that likes the genre. This is because of the colours and the style of clothing.
• The layout of the front cover is pleasing to my target audience because the everything is clear to read and everything is sized in order of priority.
• The page isn't cluttered too cluttered or messy which could actually deter potential customer from my target audience as that is the usual style of these magazines.

Contents

• Rock-like fonts (especially the title).
• Includes the masthead at the top of the page which suits the genre of rock.
• All of the images have been edited in some way, or have had effects added to them.
• All of the writing is short and sharp, there aren't many long stretches of text.
• All of the images are relevant to the genre of music and the rest of the magazine, along with my house style.

Feature Article

• Most of the fonts match the genre of rock.
• The fonts are quite gender neutral.
• The colours are mainly suited to female readers.
• The article itself mostly suits female readers and could be seen as less gender neutral.
• The colours all suit my colour scheme and the genre of rock.
• The layout suits the genre of rock quite well as it is not too linear but it stands out very well.

EVALUATION Who would be the audience for your media product?

Overall

Age Group: I don't think that the age group of my magazine has changed at all throughout the making process.

Gender: I think that the gender of my magazine may have changed slightly over the course of making, due to my choice of colours and fonts which could be see as more feminine.

Occupation/Skills: I think that this magazine has become suited to more ambitious people that I first intended it to be, due to the stories behind the artists and some of the brave colour choices. It is still suited to younger people who aspire to create their own band or become a solo singer.

Personality: The personality of my targeted readers hasn't changed much. They would still be people who enjoy darker colours but still enjoy fun, creative designs and musical artists.

Demographic: People who read this magazine still haven't changed from being a lower class who are trying to aspire to be at the top of the social class ladder. This is because there are not as many wealthy people that enjoy rock music as other genres.
